As of February 27, 2012, the new Alphanaut album “Little Sun”, is ready to be mastered and will be going into replication for a release date some time in July 2012. Thirteen tracks comprise the new work with the kickoff single "Back to the Stars" scheduled to be released in May.
Living with these songs for over two and a half years, It's been a very long road to get "Little Sun" to the completed stage. I'm very fortunate to have so many creative and dedicated people in my life who've contributed to the project and helped my vision for the album become a reality. Can't believe it's nearly time to let the album leave the nest!
Here is the first taste of what the show might sound, featuring audio from our first couple rehearsal sessions in July of 2011. First up is a new tune that will actually close the "Little Sun" album titled "Look To The Future". What you hear is just the second time we tackled the tune and it's already locking in nicely.
Here is our take on the song "Jennifer". I'm really digging how this one has turned out so far, and with these guys behind me it's going to sound awesome come show time!

The core band is comprised of Jorge Villanueva on drums, Chavo Villanueva on guitars, Ted Scarlett on keys and Clark Souter on bass. Once we get all eight songs locked down I'll be bringing in three string players to round out the lineup. If all goes as planned we'll be on stage some time in August.
